Now that I am well into my thirty seventh week, I am truly enjoying and appreciating the cold weather! With my first pregnancy, it was the height of summer in West Texas when I was thirty seven weeks.

The day has finally come when all my research and recipe testing, as a pregnancy task/urge, will be put to use for some good "old fashioned" Thanksgiving pies!

I find myself more and more frequently wanting to get out of the house to do things. At this stage in my first pregnancy, it was far to hot to really enjoy any time out doors, aside from the occasional trip to the public pool.

As soon as we discovered that we are expecting a girl, I had to go out and buy something pink. I just cannot seem to get enough pink! Even worse, I cannot seem to stay away from my favorite baby boutique and I even seek out this baby boutique brand at the local children's consignment shop.

While I was pregnant with my son, I got the urge to cut my long curly locks short. My pregnancy hormones had finally given me the gumption to actually get my hair cut rather short, which was something I had wanted to do for a long time but never followed through.

Baby clothes are a major point of excitement during pregnancy. Having a few outfits in the closet make the much anticipated arrival of the baby even more real. With my first pregnancy I was thrown two baby showers; one by my coworkers and the other by my sisters.

Preparing the nursery has become an endless task. I went from merely gathering ideas to implementing projects towards its completion. It seems that I keep finding more projects for the nursery (which is also our son's room).

After buying a crib bedding set for the arrival of our son and after realizing that we may never again have a dedicated nursery (our two children will be sharing for awhile at least), I have decided that all those uber cute themed nursery sets are not for me or my psuedo nursery.
