Some couples create pregnancy announcements to help spread the news. If you have a large family and a lot of friends, sending an announcement is a good way to make sure everyone gets the news and no one gets their feelings hurt because you forgot to tell them. There are several options for creating pregnancy announcements. Several websites allow you to create an announcement for free. These are generally email announcements that you can create and send via email. Some are animated and others are like an online greeting card. If you prefer a paper announcement, you can order these online or create your own. Most places that make invitations and birth announcements will also do pregnancy announcements. These companies can be found in your phone book or on the internet. Browse through the sample announcements on a few websites to get ideas. You can make your own personalized announcement through an online photo company, such as Shutterfly. They have a template to create your pregnancy announcement. You can upload an image from the ultrasound, picture of the siblings or other relevant image. This option is very simple and often less expensive than companies that do the whole job for you. Before sending out the announcements, there are a few things you should consider. Some people in your life may take offense to hearing the news in the mail. Your grandmother, mom and best friend should probably be told prior to receiving the announcement in the mail. When you make your list or address the envelopes, go over the names. Call any close relatives that you know will be upset to not hear it in person. This will save you some aggravation later.
