When you get pregnant, you may decide to document this special time in your life. Although during pregnancy time can feel like it is passing very slowly, it will be over before you know it. Creating a pregnancy calendar is a special way to remember this time in your life.

You can find numerous online tools for creating a pregnancy calendar. The layout and functions may vary a bit, some offer a weekly format and others are monthly calendars. However, most work in the same basic way.

The first step in creating a pregnancy calendar is to input relevant data. All will ask for information regarding the timing of your pregnancy. This could be either the date of your last menstrual period or due date. This information will be used to create a calendar that is unique to your particular pregnancy.

Most pregnancy calendars will automatically generate information that is relevant to the current week of your pregnancy. This often includes information about the baby's growth at each stage, or week of the pregnancy. Reading these little blurbs is a fun way to track your baby's growth and development. Some calendars will include information related to the changes in your body at each stage of the pregnancy.

Creating a pregnancy calendar is a great way to get your partner and other children involved in the pregnancy. When I was pregnant with our last baby, our three girls loved reading about what was happening with the baby throughout the pregnancy. It was a fun way for us all to enjoy the pregnancy together.

The best pregnancy calendars give space for you to add comments or even photos, such as the baby's first ultrasound pictures. Adding regular comments or notes to the baby about the pregnancy and what your family is doing to prepare for the baby's arrival makes this an even more special keepsake. In years to come, you can look back on the calendar and remember the time before your baby joined the family.
