Types of Progesterone

Progesterone is a hormone that is necessary for preparing the lining of the uterus for implantation and to support the pregnancy in the early weeks. For various reasons, some women don’t make enough progesterone naturally for this important function. In this case, progesterone supplements will be prescribed. Inadequate progesterone levels can be detected via a blood test shortly after ovulation. An ultrasound scan is often done if you are under treatment for infertility to check the lining of the uterus. If a progesterone deficiency is suspected or blood tests come back low, an endometrial biopsy may be done to get … Continue reading

What is Triple Negative Intra – Ductal Breast Cancer?

So what is triple negative intra-ductal breast cancer? Well it is rather complicated but I am going to try my best to explain it. Postpartum depression: What are the symptoms?

The birth of a baby is both a happy and a stressful time for a woman. Months of anticipation are over, the infant has arrived and is healthy, and both sets of grandparents are beaming. But you’re not. Postpartum, or postnatal, depression can happen to any woman, and it can occur after one birth but not another. Mood changes after birth are so common as to be almost expected, and most new mothers are taught to expect emotional “ups and downs” as a natural part of the birthing experience. There are three types of mood disturbances that can manifest in … Continue reading
